Angharad Davies is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher, currently based in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In 1999, she earned an MFA in Dance from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She has performed all over the world, and has been a member of numerous dance companies in the United States and Europe, including Gina Gibney Dance (NYC), Drastic Action (NYC), and Andrea Schlehwein’s Netzwerk AKS (Austria). At present, she works with Minneapolis based artist, Chris Yon. Her own choreographic work has been presented throughout the U.S. and Germany, most recently at the Bryant Lake Bowl, The Ritz Theater, and St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. Her newest work will be presented by the Southern Theater in Minneapolis with performances in January 2012. Angharad has taught at several universities and arts institutions, including Yale, Princeton, Berlin’s Staatlicheballettschule, Ernst Busch, and Sasha Waltz & Guests and is currently on the dance faculty at the Saint Paul Conservatory for Performing Artists in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
